Rin decides to throw a beach party for the whole town, and well, as one might guess, SHIT GOES DOWN.

Rin looked up and down the long beach, there where tables filled with food every few feet, towels and umbrellas set up neatly, and several volley ball standing in the mixed sand and rock. In the skies flew various brightly colored kites who's strings where nailed into the ground but held up mostly by magic.
It was the middle of summer and everything was hot. Rin had a craving to go to the beach and it was a new moon that evening making her as normal as she could be despite the evil running through her veins.
"well everything seems to be in order, and people will be begin arriving in 3-2-1"

Mike looked at the beach and checked his watch. There was supposed to be a party there but he didn't see anyone else. Shrugging at the lack of people, he walked closer and saw the tables of food. "Wow," he muttered. He had eaten before he came but the food looked really good. He also noted the mass amount of sandwiches, compared the amount of everything else.
Rayne was sitting at a bench on the edge of the beach when she saw Mike walk by. She wondered what anyone was doing on that side of the beach, seeing how most people were chilling on the other side. She debated for a few moments before following Mike. When she saw the food, Rayne's stomach growled. She was hungry from not having eaten so far that day. She saw a woman standing to the side and asked quietly, "Is the food for whoever wants it?"
"Girlie, beach food is automatically up for grabs for anyone," Serenity said, appearing behind the silver haired girl. With that had said, she picked up a sammich and ate it.

Dressed in a plain light blue bathing suit with matching blue fingerless gloves and a broad brimmed floppy straw hat Kelka sat just within the waves reach. She faced the sea an almost longing look barely discernible in her gray eyes. Swimming was something she enjoyed immensely, especially in her other form, but changing here would be impractical. Besides she rather liked the bathing suit and it would be a pity to shred it in her transformation. So she settled for sitting in the cool sea spray wishing the beach was empty so she could swim.
Behind her Rin mumbled something to herself. Kelka ignored it. As long as no one spoke directly to her she wouldn't have to answer. Not that she had anything against talking to people but right now she really didn't feel like it. The last thing she wanted to do was grow attached to this place. She was already far too bound to it. Looking down at the blue bracelet on her wrist she growled slightly in irritation. Putting up with such annoyances to get what she wanted was nothing new but that didn't mean she had to like it.

"Who's idea was it to have a beach party anyways?" grumbled The Mayor, trudging deliberately towards the food tables. At least there was something here to keep him entertained. He spotted Rin sitting under a large beach umbrella and realized there was another thing he'd need to do: Keep Rai's people from figuring out he had regular contact with Rin. "Well, it shouldn't be too hard," he reassured himself through a mouthful of sandwich. Damn these were good sandwiches. "Rai probably won't purposefully seek out Rin unless it's to confront her about her experiments, which we all know won't end in anything other than Rin getting even smugger and Rai being pissed as Hell. As usual. And Rin is smart enough that she won't blow my cover when it's still useful to her." He moved away from the exclusively sandwich-covered table and headed for the one with deviled eggs. Somewhere in-between, a rock got stuck in his right shoe. He really did hate the beach.

Rai let the ocean's salt waft into his nostrils. he exhaled. "Ahhh I love the beach" he knew it was risk coming here with everyone who wanted to go, but it was worth it. he looked around at all the people that had arrived. "even the mayor came eh, Rin really out did herself I guess" he mumbled to himself.
Lin looked at the girl sitting near the waves. "I like your hat" Lin said smiling at Kelka. Lin was wearing a black bathing suit with a white X going across it, over the bathing suit she had a blue knee length beach dress that was blowing slightly in the wind. Kelka was very to herself, similar to Lin and the only friend Lin had at the mansion was an un-dead zombie. She decided branching out wouldn't be the worst thing she could do in her situation.
Rayne looked at her watch. "Ven should have been here 10 minutes ago" she thought. Rayne had been seeing Ven on and off and she still had the irrational fear of him leaving her and never coming back. The beach wasn't Rayne's normal scene but the party had sounded fun. Rayne sat on a log looking at the water and sighed

Ven panted as he ran to where he saw Rayne sitting. When he reached her, he put his hands on his knees, tired from running half a mile. "Sorry I'm late. I have a horrible sense of direction," he panted out. He was dressed in swim shorts and a white shirt. He pulled a flower from seemingly nowhere and handed it to Rayne, a large smile on his face.
Serenity watched the whole interaction between Rayne and Ven and snorted. "Couples. So annoying," she muttered, munching on another sandwich. She noticed that the Mayor was attending and raised an eyebrow. She tended to stay away from government and this was her first sighting of the man. He looked rather... different.
Rayne blushed at Serenity's words, not used to being touched, much less talked to. She said a quick, 'Thank you,' before walking off. She sat down close to the edge of where the so called party was happening, not really used to being around people.

This place had so many memories in it. He looked around, noticing the wide expanses of sand, the pretty colored pebbles near the water, a half-broken shell... He had come here often as a child, and the memories were, unsurprisingly, mainly happy ones. He hadn't visited recently, but that was mainly because of his job. It got in the way of everything, darn it.
And he noticed too the people, those he liked (a few) those he knew nothing about (a lot) and those he feared (virtually everyone here. And if he didn't know them, he figured it was probably better to be afraid by default, just to be on the safe side.) But right now none of that mattered. Right now, he couldn't think about how the girl in the striped bikini had razor sharp teeth and killed people for a living, or how Rin should really be in an insane asylum and The Mayor back in whatever horror story he crawled out of. He had a mission, and he was going to do it right. Gathering his courage, Maximillion Terras stepped forwards, drew in a deep breath and said the words he'd grown so used to saying over the past year and a half: "Who here ordered 14 large pizzas and a coke?!"

Sin stepped forward in her black and white bikini. "that would be me. Extra sauce correct?" She grinned at the boy, Sin could practically feel his heart racing just by the sight of her. She adored tormenting this boy, she often ordered pizzas in the dragons name just to watch the show.
Rai walked to one of the many food tables and ate one of the sandwich whole. "wow really good" he thought grabbing another one.
Rayne smiled taking the rose. "you know this doesn't make up for your lateness right?" She grinned. Ven wasn't usually late for things considering they lived together, so Rayne decided to point it out.

"I'm really sorry. I forgot what swim trunks were made up so I had to go buy some instead of imagining some. It was harder than I thought! I haven't been to a store in so long," Ven said, sitting next to Rayne. He looked at the large table of sandwiches. "One sec," he said before rushing to the table. He grabbed a plate and piled a few sandwiches on it before going back to Rayne. "Hungry?" he asked, taking one for himself.

Max gulped, feeling his hands starting to shake and instinctively looking down at his feet. This girl always made him nervous. The first time he'd seen her around town, he'd been smitten with her beauty and unique style, only to find out later that she was actually one of Rin's "workers" and was in fact even more bloodthirsty than the mansion's insane overlord. At which point he'd lost all romantic interest in her and was instead too terrified to even willingly mention her name, let alone talk to her. But he was getting paid for this, so he had to give it a shot. "Y-yeah, extra sauce. That'll be, uh, $123.67. In cash, please." Nothing scared him more than losing his job. A guy's gotta have his priorities, afterall.

"I've had a few already, there pretty good though" Rayne stood up. "i'm gonna start a sand castle, gotta get my practice in for the contest later!" She smiled and went to go start one, she had one in mind but it was a bit over her skill level. She had loved making sand castles ever since she was a little kid, but because Rayne had no artistic bones in her body there was always somebody that made one better than her. Rayne knew it was childish to still make sand castles, but it was fun, so she wasn't going to let embarrassment stop her from making a kick ass sand castle.
Sin took 200$ out of her bikini top and handed it to him still warm from the heat of her chest. "thanks for coming all the way out here to deliver these." Sin took all the pizzas and handed them off to a random citizen that happened to pass by. "put those on the table over there" She demanded to the random boy who did as he was told. "hey you should stay for the party!" she said talking to the pizza boy again. She enjoyed tormenting him and didn't want to have to call him every time she needed somebody to pick on.

Kelka looked back at Lin as she quickly formed her face into a bright expression that betrayed none of her brooding thoughts. “Thank you, I like your dress.” Truly she was neither particularly thankful at being forced to interact nor did she like the dress but manners dictated her response, not her. “How’s the garden?” The dragon girl asked politely; sticking to the format for courteous small talk drilled into her as a child. It wasn’t very hard. A simple format of questions accented with a smile here and there. It passed time quite effectively without requiring her to give up any of her many secrets.

Ven gulped down a few more sandwiches before joining Rayne. "Sand castles, huh?" Ven concentrated and a sand shovel along with a few buckets appeared, all in bright, neon colors. "So, we having a competition or we gonna make one together?"
Serenity grinned at the word pizza. She grabbed the 14 pizza from the random kid Sin had handed them to, put 13 on the table, and walked to a table that was empty to enjoy her 1 whole pizza. She also stole the coke liter.

"oh you know, constantly getting burned by the dragon." Lin could tell that kelka didn't really want company but she ignored it, everyone else around here seemed crazy. Lin looked at the surf. "whats that?" she thought looking at a brightly colored piece of seaweed.
"competition of course!" she grinned flicking some sand at him. She was attempting to mold the sand.

Ven grinned. "Alright!" He ran up the water and filled a bucket with some and ran back to a spot near Rayne. He poured some water onto the sand and mixed the sand and water together, trying to remember the texture of wet sand. Once it was to his liking, Ven closed his eyes and concentrated. When he opened them, he cheered at the epic sand castle that had appeared.
